Nashville SC (4W-5L-3D) are ninth in the Eastern Conference, two points above the playoff line, while the Dynamo (3W-4L-6D) are two points below the line in the West following a 4-0 loss to the Chicago Fire Wednesday.

Nashville SC

It was a memorable night for Daniel Rios, the 25-year-old first-ever Nashville SC signing, scored his first MLS goal, which proved to be the 70th-minute winner in a 1-0 victory over 10-man D.C. United Wednesday night. The expansion side are trending upward in recent weeks, with a W-1L-2T mark in their last six games and are unbeaten in their last four at Nissan Stadium.

"The guys have done a wonderful job of setting a good tempo without any fans and that momentum they can bring and I do believe they're growing in confidence game by game," Gary Smith said after the match. "There's do doubt in my mind, whilst Houston are extremely effective with some wonderful front line players, we've shown here that we're very, very capable and I'm sure they'll know they have a tough task on their hands."

Houston Dynamo

After three wins in a row, the Dynamo's winless streak extended to four matches Wednesday night with a 4-0 loss to the Fire at Soldier Field. It is Houston's most lopsided defeat since a loss by the same scoreline against Sporting Kansas City in Week 2.

"We didn't have a good game from the beginning," Tab Ramos said. "We lost balls in the middle of the field that we paid for. We knew from the beginning that we couldn't lose the ball in the middle of the field, that we could afford to go long and over the top and sort of win the second balls. But once we had a couple of turnovers in the beginning, the tide turned right away."
