TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
The 20-year-old has signed a two-year deal with a club option for three additional years. It begins at the start of the Secondary Transfer Window August 12. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Kizza will remain with KCCA FC until December, on loan from the Impact, so he will not be taking an international spot on the roster. Montreal keeps the option to call him back if the situation improves.
“We are really happy to acquire one of the best young players from Uganda,” Montreal Impact sporting director Olivier Renard said in a statement. “Mustafa Kizza is a modern attacking left back with great crossing abilities and huge potential. He is good on free kicks and his height will also help on set pieces.”
Kizza has been playing with KCCA FC since 2017 and has five goals and 12 assists in 19 games this season. He also started nine CAF Champions League game with his club in 2019 and 2020, recording four goals and four assists.
He’s made 10 appearances for the Uganda national team, scoring four goals.
