Montreal Impact mutually part ways with technical director Adam Braz

Adam Braz - Montreal Impact - Technical Director - 2018

The Montreal Impact announced on Monday that the club has parted ways with technical director Adam Braz by mutual agreement.

“It’s an amicable separation that was done in the utmost respect,” said Montreal Impact president Joey Saputo in a statement. “I thought it was important to make changes to optimize our technical structure. Different new opportunities were offered to Adam, but he preferred to decline them. I wish to thank him for his work and his professionalism in the last four years. He did everything to help the team find success. I also wish him good luck in his future endeavors.”

Braz joined Montreal's technical staff in 2011 following a nine-year career as a player that included seven seasons with the Impact. He was named technical director in 2014.

During his tenure, Montreal made two appearances in the MLS Cup Playoffs, reaching the Eastern Conference Championship in 2016, and finished runners-up in the 2015 CONCACAF Champions League. Braz will stay with the club until mid-December.

Remi Garde will remain head coach and director of player personnel for the Impact.

According to the club, Garde "will continue to count on the necessary support in terms of administrative services for the team, recruiting, salary cap management and first-team contract negotiation." New appointments to the Impact's technical staff will be announced soon.
