D.C. United picked up its third victory of the 2020 preseason, getting a pair of goals from Ola Kamara and one from Ulises Segura in a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union in Clearwater, Florida on Saturday.
Kamara struck for DC's first of the match in the 18th minute off a tap-in finish that was set up by a feed from Segura.
Philadelphia would equalize on the stroke of halftime, however, courtesy of Jamiro Monteiro, who collected a pass from Brenden Aaronson near the top of the area and uncorked a curling strike past diving DCU goalkeeper Bill Hamid to pull the contest level at the break.
DCU would pull away in a four-minute span in the second half, starting with a 55th-minute penalty kick from Kamara that was drawn by Segura.
Segura provided the insurance four minutes later, cashing home a feed from Julian Gressel to round off the 3-1 final.
It was the final match of the preseason for both teams, with D.C. United wrapping up their exhibition slate at 3W-2L-1T and the Union falling to 3W-4L-0T.
The sides are set to meet again in just a few weeks, with Philadelphia set to host DCU in MLS play at Subaru Park on March 22.
