MLS Disciplinary Committee suspends Zlatan Ibrahimovic two games

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended two players and fined two others from Weeks 10, 11 and 12 of the 2019 MLS regular season.


Ibrahimovic violent conduct



The Disciplinary Committee has suspended LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic for two games and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct in the 86th minute against New York City FC on May 11.


Rubio violent conduct



The Disciplinary Committee has found Colorado Rapids forward Diego Rubio guilty of violent conduct. Rubio received a red card for the incident and served a one-game suspension, and has been suspended an additional game (two games total) and fined an undisclosed amount. The action occurred in the 77th minute of the May 3 match against Vancouver.


Martinez simulation/embellishment



The Disciplinary Committee has found Atlanta United forward Josef Martinez guilty of simulation/embellishment in the 42nd minute of the May 15 match against Vancouver. Martinez has been fined an undisclosed amount.


Elis simulation/embellishment



The Disciplinary Committee has found Houston Dynamo forward Alberth Elis guilty of simulation/embellishment in the 57th minute of the May 15 match against Portland. Elis has been fined an undisclosed amount.
