MLS Disciplinary Committee suspends Wagner, fines Nani and Roldan

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended one player and fined two others after weekend games from Week 9 of the 2019 MLS regular season.


Wagner suspension


The Disciplinary Committee has suspended Philadelphia Union defender Kai Wagner an additional match for the red card he received for serious foul play in the 89th minute of Philadelphia’s match against the Montreal Impact on April 20.

Wagner served his first match suspension for the red card on April 27 against Vancouver Whitecaps FC and will serve his next match suspension on Wednesday, May 1, against FC Cincinnati.


Nani fined for simulation/embellishment


The Disciplinary Committee has found Orlando City SC midfielder Nani guilty of simulation/embellishment. Nani has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 44th minute of Orlando’s match against New York City FC on April 27.

Roldan fined for not leaving the field in a timely manner


The Disciplinary Committee has issued Seattle Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan an undisclosed fine for failing to leave the field in a timely manner following his red card in the 18th minute of Seattle’s match against the Los Angeles Football Club on April 28.
