This week's Disciplinary Committee actions will serve as another reminder to players about new rules implemented by the league at the start of the 2013 season.
That's when MLS announced it would be cracking down on mass confrontation, hands to the head/face and unauthorized entrance to the field of play.
Staying true to its word, the MLS Disciplinary Committee on Friday fined D.C. United forward Eddie Johnson "for hands to the face/head of DC Dallas defender Zach Loyd" in the 28th minute of D.C.'s 4-1 victory on Saturday, April 26 (WATCH VIDEO HERE).
Meanwhile, Vancouver Whitecaps back-up goalkeeper Paolo Tornaghi was also fined an undisclosed amount and suspended for one game. His infraction was "entering the field of play in the 94th minute" of the game against Real Salt Lake, also played on April 26 (WATCH VIDEO HERE).
