Miguel Almiron returns to Atlanta starting XI against NYCFC

Miguel Almiron - pumps fist - after goal

After missing Atlanta United's last two games with a hamstring injury, Miguel Almiron is set to return for leg one of the Conference Semifinals against NYCFC (7:30 pm ET | FS1, UniMás; TSN, TVAS).

Almiron has been reinstated directly back into Tata Martino's starting XI, while left back Greg Garza is set to make his first start since May 20.

A finalist for the Landon Donovan MLS Most Valuable Player award, Almiron has 12 goals and 14 assists in 32 games this season. The Paraguayan Almiron limped off the field in the first half of his team's 2-1 win over the New England Revolution on Oct. 6 with a hamstring injury and has not featured since.
