Mexico's Giovani dos Santos, Carlos Vela kick back after missing Copa

Giovani Dos Santos - LA Galaxy - smile - isolated

Mexico's star trio of Giovani dos Santos, his brother Jonathan and Carlos Vela were left off of their country's Copa America Centenario roster, but that doesn't appear to be getting them down.

Giovani, the Galaxy star, and his two buddies appeared to be in good spirits, as he posted a few photos from what looked to be their vacation on Saturday on his official Instagram account:

Their Mexico teammates, of course, were deep in preparations for Sunday evening's Copa America Centenario opener against Uruguay (8 pm ET; FS1, Univision, UDN), which mean the photo of the trio vacationing – even though were not on the roster – provoked some mixed responses from Mexico fans.

Giovani and the Galaxy, of course, are off this week as MLS takes a break during the group stage of Copa America, while Jonathan and Carlos Vela are currently on their summer break following the end of the 2015-16 season in Spain, where they both play their club soccer.

So what do you think – is it the right time for Gio & Co. to be bragging about their vacation? Let us know in the comments below.
