MetroStars featured in Sept. 2005 issue of VOGUE magazine

SECAUCUS, N.J. - The MetroStars of Major League Soccer will be featured along with Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen in the September 2005 issue of VOGUE magazine scheduled to hit New York newsstands today, August 16, 2005. The issue will arrive on Los Angeles newsstands Thursday, August 18, 2005 and national newsstands on Tuesday, August 23, 2005.


The MetroStars appear along with Gisele in the issue's story entitled, "the M.V.P," whose portfolio includes two spreads and 14 single pages of photos, featuring the Metros in 10 of the images. Eight MetroStars players are featured, including defender Chris Leitch, defender Seth Stammler, midfielder Mark Lisi, forward Sergio Galvan Rey, defender Jason Hernandez, goalkeeper Zach Wells, defender Carlos Mendes and midfielder Gilberto Flores (now with the New England Revolution).


VOGUE fashion editor Tonne Goodman produced the story with photos credited to Steve Meisel.
