After the initial reports broke, Valencia retweeted and liked a fan hoping the news is true. Two-year contract about to be finalized with D.C. United."

TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

Tues. April 2, 2:15 pm ET: After a decade of service at the club, Manchester United and Ecuador captain Antonio Valencia looks likely to leave the Red Devils at the end of their current season, and Major League Soccer could be his next destination.

That's what his father, Luis, recently told Ecuadorian outlet Radio Area Deportiva, revealing that the 33-year-old has a two-year contract offer on the table from an as-yet-unnamed MLS side. Valencia is also said to have West Ham, Inter Milan and a Chinese club as suitors if and when he makes a move in this summer's transfer window.

A winger earlier in his United career, Valencia has spent more time at right back in recent seasons. Strong, quick and durable, he's earned nearly 100 caps for his country, including several appearances at the 2006 and 2014 World Cups.

His most recent international action gave him a glimpse of MLS, as he played for La Tri on their US tour in last month's international window, a 1-0 loss to the United States at Orlando City Stadium and a scoreless draw vs. Honduras at Red Bull Arena.
