Sometimes dreams really do come true. That was the case last July at Giants Stadium when the MetroStars hosted their first-ever Youth Fantasy Camp. Twenty-six campers were able to experience life as a professional soccer player at Giants Stadium, and it was a memorable experience for all.

This year, dreams will be fulfilled again.

The MetroStars are proud to announce they will host the second annual Youth Fantasy Camp during the week of August 22-26, at historic Giants Stadium. The camp will run daily from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET.

This unbelievable experience for children ages 8-15 includes five days of training at Giants Stadium. The fantasy soccer camp is geared towards serious youth travel soccer players and will be run by the MetroStars Player Development Program coaches, one of the finest coaching staffs in the nation.

Limited to the first 75 paid registrations, each child will receive their own personalized jersey, uniform and locker. There will be special guest appearances from MetroStars players, staff and other speakers as a part of this great week of activity.

"The MetroStars are excited to offer youth soccer players in the area a chance to be treated like a professional soccer player," said MetroStars executive vice president John Guppy. "Each camper will be treated to first-class amenities and their memories will surely last a lifetime."

The week will conclude with a stadium game-day experience for the group of 75. Each child will be recognized at Giants Stadium before the Sept. 3 match against the Kansas City Wizards.

Feedback from parents and MetroStars players at the 2004 camp:

"It's really weird to see how similar this camp is to our training with the MetroStars. The level of play and drills set up by the coaches is really impressive, and the high skill level of these kids surprised me. These kids can play."

- Mike Magee, MetroStars midfielder/forward who visited the campers during the week

"My son, Shane, was one of the participants in the Fantasy Camp. His experience there was just fantastic. Everyone from the interns to the coaches to the guest speakers and players were just wonderful with the kids. The attention to detail, especially in a first camp of this type, was fantastic. My son is busy recruiting his friends to join him for next year's camp and we are waiting anxiously for the announcement of next years date."
