The LA Galaxy have signed 21-year-old Mexican winger Uriel Antuna on loan from Manchester City, the club announced on Tuesday.

Antuna signed a four-year deal with Man City in 2017 from Mexican side Santos Laguna, where he came through the youth ranks before making his professional debut that year.

A month after signing with Man City, Antuna was sent to Eredivisie club FC Groningen on a two-year loan.

On the international stage, Antuna struck for a hat trick against El Salvador in the 2017 Concacaf U-20 Championship and appeared in Mexico’s five matches in the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

He was called up by then-El Tri coach Juan Carlos Osorio for a pair of international friendlies against Belgium and Poland in November, but he did not appear in either match.
