The LA Galaxy have signed forward Gordon Wild, per a Tuesday announcement from the club.

Wild joins the Galaxy after spending last season with D.C. United, making 16 appearances on loan with the club's USL Championship affiliate Loudoun United and netting 10 goals.

The 24-year-old was originally a 2018 MLS SuperDraft pick of Atlanta United, but never made a first-team appearance for the Five Stripes. He made 33 appearances on loan in 2018 with the USL's Charleston Battery, scoring seven goals, and had one goal in nine games on loan with Atlanta United 2 in 2019.

"Gordon is an attacking player who will add depth to our squad in multiple positions," Galaxy general manager Dennis te Kloese said in Tuesday's release. "We believe he has his best years of soccer ahead of him and can grow as a player in MLS. We are pleased to add Gordon to our roster."

Before going pro, Wild was a standout at the University of Maryland, where he racked up 22 goals in 40 games and was the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year in 2016.
