The King returns: Thierry Henry visits RBA to take in Red Bulls-DC United

Thierry Henry - visiting Red Bull Arena for RBNY vs. DC United

Perhaps the greatest player in New York Red Bulls franchise history, Thierry Henry underlined his status as a club legend on Sunday by making sure to get to Red Bull Arena to catch his former team's bout with their oldest nemeses, D.C. United, in the latest edition of the Atlantic Cup on the final day of Heineken Rivalry Week 2018.

The French icon, who recently stepped back from his work as a television pundit to pursue a full-time managerial career, shared some quality time with his former strike partner Bradley Wright-Phillips pregame...

And shared a lighthearted moment in front of a piece of memorabilia from his illustrious playing days in RBA's hallways:

Sunday's match also brought TH14 back into touch with Wayne Rooney, the D.C. superstar he faced off against more than a few times over several years in the English Premier League a decade ago.

Once the game got underway, the FS1 cameras also caught a glimpse of Henry dishing out some pro bono analysis for his companions:

Preparing for a return to RBA as a coach, perhaps?
