1. ANOTHER NEW SIGNING FOR THE SOUNDERS?
Nothing's been announced yet, but there are growing suggestions that the Seattle Sounders have finally landed long-rumored signing Roman Torres. One rumor even alleges that the Panamanian centerback could arrive in Seattle today.
2. MORE SOCCER FOR ORLANDO?
The US women’s national team announced details for two more of their Victory Tour matches on Monday, revealing they'll face Brazil in Orlando and Seattle in October. Hosting a match in Orlando could help grow the domestic women's game, with OCSC president Phil Rawlins confirming on Monday that the club are looking into operating an NWSL franchise.
3. GANSO’S REGRETS
Orlando City Homegrown defender Tommy Redding made an impressive debut over the weekend, putting in a strong shift to help the Lions shut out the Philadelphia Union. One player who won't be joining Orlando any time soon? Brazilian Paulo Henrique Ganso, who wishes his rumored move to Orlando would've gone through.
4. GETTING STARTED IN CINCINNATI
Details are starting emerge about Cincinnati's new USL club, with the team's name, crest, stadium details, ownership identity and a certain USMNT legend at head coach revealed on Tuesday morning.
5. STUDYING ST. PAUL
Minnesota United FC are looking beyond Minneapolis for a potential stadium site, with MLS president Mark Abbott and other league officials set to meet with St. Paul mayor Chris Coleman on Tuesday to discuss the viability of housing the stadium in the capital city.
6. FIRE GETTING FITTER
After a scare over the weekend, Chicago Fire fans got some good news on Monday, as head coach Frank Yallop reported that Designated Player David Accam – who left last Friday's match at Portland with an injury – should be ready for Wednesday's US Open Cup semifinal at the Philadelphia Union (7:30 pm ET, YouTube, USsoccer.com). Forward Mike Magee and newly acquired DP Gilberto should also be available for what Yallop termed a "massive" encounter at PPL Park.

The Philadelphia Union have a chance to redeem what's been a frustrating campaign on Wednesday, when they'll look to advance to their second-straight USOC final with a win against Chicago. One man who might not be getting the credit he deserves for keeping the Union in the tournament? Goalkeeper John McCarthy.
8. CAN RSL TIGHTEN UP THEIR DEFENSE?
Real Salt Lake visit Sporting Kansas City in the US Open Cup on Wednesday (8:30 pm ET, YouTube, USsoccer.com) knowing they need to improve their defense if they want to slip past Sporting and into the final. The match is sure to be off-the-charts intense, with the long-running feud between the two rivals continuing to grow in 2015.
9. MANNEH TURNS PROVIDER
Vancouver Whitecaps attacker Kekuta Manneh has the goal-scoring ability to strike fear into the heart of any defense. Now, with his team set to take on the Montreal Impact in the first leg of the Amway Canadian Championship final on Wednesday (7:30 pm ET; Sportsnet), the young Gambian is embracing a new role as a provider.
10. QUAKES GET TECHNICAL
The San Jose Earthquakes have a new technical director, with former MLS defender Chris Leitch moving into the role after spending the last three years presiding over the Quakes Youth Development Academy.

Jason Kreis was unhappy with a number of things following New York City FC’s loss to the New York Red Bulls on Sunday. As the Portland Timbers enter the final stretch of the season, head coach Caleb Porter knows they’re going to need points on the road if they want to secure a playoff spot. To that end, the club needs Diego Valeri back to his very best, with the Argentine focusing on improving with each game.
13. BECKHAM PRAISES DOS SANTOS
David Beckham was at the StubHub Center on Sunday to watch the LA Galaxy take apart the Seattle Sounders and, speaking after the game, said he believes Giovani Dos Santos is the "perfect" successor to LA legend Landon Donovan.
14. BERNIER IS BACK
After taking the weekend off to think things over, Patrice Bernier is now back with the Montreal Impact, showing his usual cheerful disposition. While all seems to be well with Bernier at the moment, some are making the argument that the Canadian international deserved better treatment from the club.
