Fabian Johnson will not be representing the US national team on Tuesday.
Jurgen Klinsmann told reporters inside of Red Bull Arena on Monday that he has sent Johnson back to his club and before Tuesday's match vs. Costa Rica so that the fullback can "rethink" his approach with the US.
Klinsmann's unhappiness with the 27-year-old Johnson stems from having to substitute the player out of this weekend's CONCACAF Cup defeat to Mexico. Johnson asked to be removed in extra time of the 3-2 loss, and was replaced by Brad Evans in the 111th minute.
Klinsmann and the US will wrap up their October camp with Tuesday's friendly against Costa Rica.
