Inter Miami and free agent goalkeeper Luis Robles have agreed to a contract, the club announced Monday.

Robles, 35, had been with the New York Red Bulls for the entirety of his eight-year MLS career, earning a reputation of one of the league's top keepers. He made 238 appearances and won 2015 Goalkeeper of the Year, as well as three Supporters' Shields.

ā€œLuis has had a storied MLS career and we are excited that it will continue in Miami,ā€ sporting director Paul McDonough said in a club statement. ā€œWe look forward to his contributions ahead of our inaugural MLS season.ā€

Robles holds the record for most consecutive MLS regular-season starts, starting 183 straight matches between 2012 and 2018. His contract option was declined by the Red Bulls this offseason.

Inter Miami now have two goalkeepers under contract as Robles joins Bryan Meredith, who was selected in the Expansion Draft. The club also hold the Homegrown Player Rights to GK Drake Callender, acquired from the San Jose Earthquakes.
