Inter Miami CF likely won’t begin playing at Miami Freedom Park until the 2022 season, but visuals and plans for that future venue are already in motion.

The MLS expansion club, set to begin play in 2020, released a video on Tuesday outlining what the stadium and its surrounding area could look like.

In the interim, Inter Miami is expected to play on grounds currently occupied by Lockhart Stadium and Fort Lauderdale Stadium, an adjacent baseball venue. Last week, they had plans approved by the Fort Lauderdale City Commission to demolish the pre-existing structures at the site.

The grounds at the Lockhart site will also include a training facility for the first team and academy, as well as public park space. It will also become the future home for their USL-affiliate squad.
