Ignacio Piatti won his second AT&T MLS Goal of the Week award of the year on Friday, collecting 66 percent of the final vote to beat out Montreal Impact teammate Didier Drogba for the Week 7 honor.

Piatti scored a lovely game-winner in second-half stoppage time of Montreal’s 2-1 victory at Chicago last Saturday, dipping an audacious right-footed curler into the top-right corner from the left side of the box.

In addition to beating out Drogba, Piatti bested Chicago’s Kennedy Igboananike and FC Dallas’ Mauro Rosales en route to the Week 7 title. Piatti, who has four goals and two assists in six games this year, also won Goal of the Week in Week 1 for a dazzling effort against Vancouver.
