Harry Novillo misses Montreal Impact trip to KC: He lost his passport

Harry Novillo - Montreal Impact - March 16, 2019

After registering an assist in a 16-minute cameo which represented his MLS debut back on March 16 (watch highlight below), forward Harry Novillo was considered a potential viable option to take the place of the injured Ignacio Piatti against Sporting Kansas City in Week 5 action.

But Novillo did not travel with his team to Kansas City. He lost his passport.

Among the Impact's most high-profile offseason acquisitions, the 27-year-old former Olympique Lyon player missed out on the 7-1 drubbing at the hands of Sporting KC with Impact broadcaster TVAS reporting the passport issue.

The Impact fielded an attacking trio of Saphir Taider, Maximiliano Urruti and Orji Okwonkwo, but they could do little to offset SKC's attacking onslaught on the day.

Prior to the match, Impact head coach Remi Garde note that Novillo was "one of the guys that can fill in the gap [created by Piatti's injury] because Harry is comfortable playing on the left, as well."
