Duckens Nazon - solo shot - Gold Cup

In a story published earlier Friday on, 26-year-old Haiti national team forward Duckens Nazon revealed he could envision a move to Major League Soccer so he could play in front of his national team fans. For him, the most attractive landing spot would appear to be Inter Miami FC.

"I would like to play in MLS because there are many Haitians there," Nazon said. "There are a lot of Haitians in Miami, so Miami is a place where I would love to go play. Montreal is another place. I think if there is a good offer, I would be very interested in playing in MLS."

To date, there has been no reported interest from MLS clubs in the French-born Nazon, who has bounced around France, England, Scotland and Belgium. His best pro stretch came arguably with English League One side Oldham Athletic, where he scored six times in 16 league appearances in early 2018 on a loan that started in mid-season

He has been more productive on the international level, however, scoring twice for Haiti in both the 2015 and 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup tournaments. His second goal of the 2019 tournament helped Haiti storm from two goals down to an improbable 3-2 upset quarterfinal victory over the Canada national team.
