Kellyn Acosta - FC Dallas - solo shot

FC Dallas are in first-place in MLS, and they’re doing it with the youngest roster in the league.

Our own Ben Baer calculated the average age of every team in the league based on players who have played at least one minute this season, and FCD had the youngest age, clocking in with an average of 25.80 years. The Vancouver Whitecaps, who will host FCD on Saturday (10:30 pm ET; TSN in Canada, MLS LIVE in the US), have the second-youngest roster this year at 26.08-years-old.

Another early-season success, second-place Real Salt Lake, have the oldest average age of players who stepped on the field this year, coming in at 28.59 years. Their opponent this weekend, the LA Galaxy (10:30 pm ET; MLS LIVE), are currently the second-oldest team at 28.54-years-old.
