FC Dallas loanee Chris Richards makes senior debut for Bayern Munich vs PSG

Chris Richards - Bayern Munich - FC Dallas

Less than two weeks after his move across the Atlantic, on-loan FC Dallas academy product Chris Richards has made his senior debut for Bayern Munich.

The 18-year-old, who signed a Homegrown contract with Dallas in April but has not officially been added to the club's roster, entered in the 62nd minute of Bayern's prestige friendly against Paris Saint-Germain. With the score deadlocked at 1-1, Richards came in as a center back and helped ensure Bayern would not conceded another goal en route to an eventual 3-1 win.

Richards, who is on loan with Bayern through the end of 2018, spoke at length this week with American Soccer Now's Brian Sciaretta about his move to Germany and initial impressions of the star-studded Bayern squad. He'll be a part of the Bayern squad that will tour the United States in the coming weeks, with dates against Juventus in Philadelphia (July 25) and Manchester City in Miami (July 28), though he is expected to spend most of his loan playing and training with Bayern's Under-19 team.

Also of note for American soccer fans, PSG's newly-minted US international, Timothy Weah, scored his team's lone goal of the game, opening the scoring in the 31st minute:
