FC Dallas bolster defensive depth with addition of Aubrey David

FC Dallas signs Anibal Chala

The secondary transfer window officially opened on Monday and FC Dallas have fired the opening salvo.

They have added Trinidadian defender Aubrey David on loan from Saprissa through the end of the season to beef up their defensive depth.

David began his career with FC South End, a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Pro League, in 2009. The defender appeared in 37 matches with various Trinidad and Tobago first division sides between 2009 and 2013. David was loaned to FF Jaro of Finland’s first division in 2014, where he scored three goals in 31 appearances. He spent the 2015 season with Shakhter Karagandy. During his stint in Karagandy, Kazakhstan, David appeared in 19 matches before transferring to Deportivo Saprissa this spring. David added another two goals and 10 games to his resume during his time in Costa Rica.

David debuted for the Trinidad and Tobago national team during the 2012 Caribbean Cup. He has played in 23 matches for the Soca Warriors with one goal. He started two games for the team during the 2015 Gold Cup.

David usually is deployed as a right back where Atiba Harris has been starting for FC Dallas. Zach Loyd and Ryan Hollingshead have also started in that spot under Oscar Pareja.
