FC Cincinnati 1, Montreal Impact 1 | 2019 Preseason Match Recap

Darren Mattocks - FC Cincinnati - January 30, 2019

In their first preseason match as an MLS club, FC Cincinnati came from behind on Wednesday to tie the Montreal Impact 1-1 at IMG Academy Stadium in Bradenton, Florida.

Ignacio Piatti gave the Impact an early lead in the 11th minute and FC Cincinnati thought they had the equalizer five minutes later, but Fanendo Adi was ruled offside.

Adi's second-half replacement, Darren Mattocks, tied the match four minutes after the break by lobbing Montreal goalkeeper Clement Diop (watch it below).

Although the Impact would hit the post twice -- Piatti in the 40th minute and Anthony Jackson-Hamel in the 72nd minute -- they were held at bay by FCC and their Polish netminder Przemyslaw Tyton, who went the full 90.
