Exports watch: Konrad de la Fuente on Barcelona bench, Antonee Robinson starts for Fulham

Antonee Robinson - US men's national team - Hitting cross

Several US and Canadian exports were involved in action for their clubs overseas on Thursday, with appearances in the English Premier League, Bundesliga and Europa League. Here's your round-up of how it all went.

Antonee Robinson

Fulham

It was another tough day at the office for Robinson's Fulham squad, who were topped 3-0 by Brentford in Carabao Cup play after getting bested by the same scoreline in their last league match against Aston Villa. They'll need to turn around their early-season form to remain up in the English Premier League after earning promotion from the Championship last season, but hopefully Robinson will keep getting a chance to show he can be a contributor to the cause.

The 23-year-old US international started at left back and played all 90 minutes of the contest, his third straight start in the Carabao Cup.

John Brooks

Wolfsburg

The big center back has established himself as a regular in the middle of Wolfsburg's back line, but he didn't feature in this in Europa League qualifying fixture, with Joshua Guilavogui and Maxence Lacroix the starting CB duo.

The 27-year-old made 30 starts in league play last season and 32 the year before that, so it's possible he'll resume that role when the club gets back to its Bundesliga schedule.

Konrad de la Fuente

Barcelona

A regular on the US international youth circuit, de la Fuente is trying to break in at one of the biggest clubs in the world, and has been training with the first team throughout preseason. The 19-year-old winger wasn't in Barcelona's starting XI for their La Liga match with Celta Vigo on Thursday, but he was on the bench. The youngster is highly rated, scored his first pro goal while playing for Barcelona B last season, and now gets to be on the same squad as Lionel Messi as he looks for a milestone first La Liga appearance. This is certainly one to keep an eye on.

Milan Borjan

Red Star Belgrade

A couple of Canadian internationals were also in action, starting with goalkeeper Milan Borjan who started in goal for Serbian club Red Star Belgrade in Europa League play against Ararat-Armenia. Manning his side's defense, Borjan & co. got the job done, taking home a 2-1 victory.

Borjan has been a mainstay for Red Star since joining the club in 2017, making 94 league appearances. He has 49 career senior caps for Canada's men's national team.

Scott Arfield

Rangers FC

It was a great start for Arfield as his Rangers side took on Turkish side Galatasaray, also in Europa League play. The 31-year-old midfielder opened the scoring with his club's first goal of the game in the 52nd minute, before they doubled the lead with another tally from teammate James Tavernier just seven minutes later.

Rangers FC are also off to a blazing hot start in league play, and currently sit atop the Scottish Premiership with 23 points after going unbeaten through nine matches. Arfield will look to continue to be a part of that. He's racked up 18 goals in 64 league appearances for the club and has two in 19 career senior caps for Canada.

Noble Okello

HB Koge

The Toronto FC academy product made an immediate impression after being loaned to Danish side HB Koge, scoring on his debut on Wednesday. The 20-year-old midfielder and Canadian youth international scored the second goal in Koge's 2-0 win over FC Helsinger in the Danish second tier. It was a memorable goal, too, intercepting a clearance from the goalkeeper and finding the back of the net from more than 30 yards. Check out the video below.
