The San Jose Earthquakes placed two players on waivers today, defender Eric Denton and midfielder Kelly Gray.
Denton appeared in 10 matches this season and had an assist on May 27 against the Columbus Crew. In 2008 he started 26 games at left back. He was signed by the Earthquakes on April 2, 2008.
Gray, who originally played with San Jose in 2005, appeared in eight games this season. The Bay Area native came to San Jose in a trade with the Colorado Rapids in 2008. He played 41 total games for San Jose.
