The Houston Dynamo will have a record number of fans in their supporters’ section for their Texas Derby matchup against FC Dallas at BBVA Compass Stadium on Friday night (9 pm ET | UniMas, Facebook.com in the US, MLS LIVE in Canada).

Houston Chronicle reporter Corey Roepken reported on Thursday that the Dynamo have sold a club record 1,100 supporters’ section tickets for Friday’s match, eclipsing the previous team record of 840. Roepken also noted that Houston supporters have renamed their section from "Zona Naranja" to the "North End," a call back to the name of their section during the team's days at Robertson Stadium.

The extra supporters should give Houston – who are 7-0-1 at home this season – an extra boost against their Texas rivals, who they drew 0-0 on the road on May 28.
