Disciplinary Committee suspends Kljestan one more game; fines Kaku, Lodeiro

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued one suspension and two fines following Week 18 of the 2019 MLS regular season:


Kljestan serious foul play

The Disciplinary Committee has issued an additional game suspension (two games total) and an additional fine of an undisclosed amount to Orlando City midfielder Sacha Kljestan for serious foul play. The incident, for which Kljestan initially received a red card, took place in the 67th minute of Orlando's game against the Philadelphia Union on July 3. Kljestan served the first game of his suspension on July 7, also against the Union, and will serve his additional game suspension on July 13 against Columbus.


Lodeiro simulation/embellishment

The Disciplinary Committee has found Seattle Sounders midfielder Nicolas Lodeiro guilty of simulation/embellishment. The incident in question took place in the 81st minute of Seattle's match against the Columbus Crew on July 6. As a result, Lodeiro has been fined an undisclosed amount.


Kaku violent conduct

The Disciplinary Committee has issued an additional fine of an undisclosed amount to New York Red Bulls midfielder Kaku for violent conduct. The incident in question, for which Kaku received a red card, took place during second-half stoppage time of the Red Bulls' match against the Houston Dynamo on July 3.
