D.C. United set to host Cherry Blossom Soccer Tournament

WASHINGTON, D.C. - D.C. United announced today the club has joined District Sports to host the 2006 Cherry Blossom Soccer Tournament. The 32-team co-ed tournament will be held on the National Mall April 1-2 and is an official event of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. The winner of the adult tournament will receive four 2006 D.C. United season tickets.


Each participant in the tournament will receive a ticket to United's 2006 season opener at RFK Stadium, as the Black-and-Red take on their Atlantic Cup rivals, the MetroStars. The game is scheduled for 5 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, April 2.
