The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended and fined one player following Week 25 of the 2019 MLS regular season.
Rooney violent conduct
The Disciplinary Committee suspended D.C. United forward Wayne Rooney an additional match (two games total) and issued an additional for violent conduct in the 21st minute of D.C.’s match against the New York Red Bulls on Aug. 21. Rooney, who initially received a red card for the incident, served his first match suspension on Aug. 24 against the Philadelphia Union. Rooney will serve his additional game suspension on Aug. 31 against the Montreal Impact.
