1996 MLS Cup stream

Twenty years ago today, D.C. United won the inaugural MLS Cup, defeating the LA Galaxy 3-2 in a downpour in Foxboro, Massachusetts to claim the league’s first championship.

Today, the club will commemorate the anniversary by streaming the match in its entirety on Facebook Live starting at 7 pm ET. Fans are encouraged to tune in and share the experience with others as that fateful game unfolds.

D.C. United will also be releasing plenty of MLS Cup 1996-related content throughout the day on their website and social media platforms; keep an eye out for the #MLSCup96 hashtag today, among other things.
