The Colorado Rapids have finalized the signings of US international and Monterrey left back Edgar Castillo, as well as Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Jack Price, to continue their roster rebuild under new coach Anthony Hudson.

Castillo's addition comes after MLSsoccer.com reported last month he would join Colorado on a year-long loan. He will be added to Colorado's roster upon receipt of his International Transfer Certificate, and the Rapids will have an option to buy following the conclusion of the 2018 campaign.

ā€œEdgar is an experienced player that fits the style of soccer we want to play and one that will add a different dimension to our attack,ā€ Rapids sporting director and interim general manager PĆ”draig Smith said in a statement. ā€œWe believe Edgar will have a positive impact on the field and in the community, and we are very excited to have him represent the Colorado Rapids.ā€

Price's move comes two days after it was reported by the Washington Postā€™s Steve Goff and a regional newspaper in England.

Price, 25, came up through the Wolverhampton academy and joined the clubā€™s first team in 2011. After featuring regularly for the club for three consecutive seasons, Price has seen his playing time decrease this year for a club that holds a 12-point lead in the English Championship. Overall, he's appeared in five league games this season and made four starts in the Carabao Cup. Price was teammates with former Rapids forward Kevin Doyle at Wolves.

Castillo, who has long been linked with a move to Colorado, sent a tweet on Saturday before the official announcement was made.

MLSsoccer.com reported on Dec. 20 that Castilloā€™s loan deal had been finalized pending completion of a physical. The 31-year-old left back from Las Cruces, New Mexico has 18 career caps with the US national team, but has played sparingly for Monterrey over the last year and a half.

ā€œComing to Colorado is a wonderful opportunity for me as both a player and a person,ā€ Castillo said in a statement. ā€œI want to thank Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, as well as PĆ”draig and Coach Hudson for bringing me to the Rapids organization, and I canā€™t wait to get on the field and help this team achieve its goals for 2018 and beyond.ā€
