Saturday night's match between the Chicago Fire and FC Cincinnati at SeatGeek Stadium will resume at 9:32 pm ET after a delay of 58 minutes due to lightning strikes in the area.


The delay began at 8:34 pm ET time, with Cincinnati leading 1-0 in the 25th minute. Allan Cruz scored an opening-minute goal, and on the other end Nicolas Gaitan saw his penalty strike the left upright.


After leaving the field, the teams returned for a 10-minute warmup period at 9:22 pm ET.
