FC Dallas manager Schellas Hyndman has often criticized Jackson for his finishing.
What's ironic is that the Brazilian's finishing against the Seattle Sounders earned him a No. 1 ranking in the Castrol Index Top 20 and may have also cost FC Dallas their ticket to the playoffs at the very same time.
WATCH: Jackson's goal vs. Seattle
His 32nd-minute equalizer got FC Dallas back in the match against the Sounders and helped him leap to the top of the Week 26 rankings of the top performers around the league (read all about the Castrol methodology here). But for as well as he played on Sunday night, his conscience will also have to bear the failure of converting on a golden opportunity in the second half that could have resulted in a victory.
The ability for him to make up for the error is only days away as FC Dallas host the Vancouver Whitecaps on September 15 in a direct matchup for the fifth and final postseason berth in the Western Conference. Just four points separate the teams with five matches to play in FCD's season.
Jackson's teammate, Kevin Hartman, was the other FC Dallas player to make the list. He was one of eight goalkeepers in another banner week for the men wearing the gloves. San Jose's Jon Busch, who could've easily seen red after just 13 minutes against Chivas USA, was the highest-ranked 'keeper at No. 3.
D.C. United's Nick DeLeon was the only rookie to make the cut and he joined elite company alongside Designated Players Tim Cahill (No. 14), Federico Higuain (No. 16) and Marco Di Vaio (No. 19).
