Behind the Badge: USC honors

Some of these members of the United Soccer Club may end up being all-stars.

United Soccer Club coaches Judah Cooks and Chris Megaloudis have been selected by Soccer on the Hill to coach the Capitol Hill Soccer League's U-10 All-star game. With the honor, the coaches will also select the all-star team from players throughout the league as well as from United Soccer Club's team - the Barry Farm Eagles.

Cooks himself appeared in the league's U-10 all-star game in 1986. United Soccer Club is D.C. United's after-school youth program in Anacostia and a branch of United's charitable arm, United for D.C. The team plays each Saturday at 10:15 or 11 a.m. ET at Anacostia Park in the Capitol Hill Soccer League.

The all-star tournament will take place at the end of the season on June 18.

Trialist joins United
United has brought in another trialist, defender Edwin Twesigomwe. The Fulham youth academy player joined former Fulham teammate Kasali Yinka Casal with United at practice today and will play with the team for the rest of the week.

Reserves back in action
United's reserve team got off to a great start in April with a 2-1 win against the Crew in Columbus. In the win, newly-acquired striker Nicholas Addlery scored two goals and has since seen some first team action. Casal and Jamil Walker both racked up assists.

The team hopes to get a second win next weekend on May 19 in Toronto against the newly-formed Toronto FC Reserve team. The reserve division game will take place at 6 p.m. ET, just after the clubs' first teams go head-to-head at BMO Field.
