Austin FC have signed goalkeeper Brad Stuver, the club announced Monday. He is the third goalkeeper on the club's inaugural roster.

Stuver, 29, has spent seven seasons in MLS, though hasn't held a starting role yet. He was most recently with NYCFC for three seasons, making seven MLS appearances behind Sean Johnson. He spent his first four years in MLS with Columbus Crew SC after starring at Cleveland State University.

“Brad fits the profile that we are looking for in a goalkeeper. He has a good presence on and off the field. He is technically solid with his feet and hands and has good command of the penalty box,” sporting director Claudio Reyna said in a club statement. “This is a great opportunity for Brad to compete for the number one spot, and we look forward to integrating him with the rest of the squad.”

Stuver joins Andrew Tarbell and Brady Scott as the club's goalkeepers for 2021. Tarbell was signed last week while Scott acquired in the Expansion Draft after half a season with Nashville SC

Austin currently have 15 players under contract for 2021.
