Atlanta United FC have had quite the week.

The expansion club spanked fellow first-year MLS side Minnesota United FC6-1 on Sunday, then saw Designated Player Josef Martinez win MLS Player of the Week honors on Tuesday for his hat trick performance against the Loons.

On Thursday, Miguel Almiron completed the club’s hat trick, winning MLS Goal of the Week for Week 2 of the 2017 season.

Almiron won the honor for his second goal against Minnesota, an excellent left-footed volley into the top-right corner from the top of the penalty area that gave Atlanta a 4-1 lead early in the second-half. The strike received 35 percent of the Goal of the Week voting, seven percentage points more than second-place finisher San Jose midfielder Anibal Godoy.

Houston’s Erick “Cubo” Torres finished third with 25 percent of the vote, while Montreal’s Ignacio Piatti (7 percent) and New York City FC’s Maxi Moralez (4 percent) brought up the rear.

Almiron and Atlanta will return home on Saturday, when they’ll host the Chicago Fire at Bobby Dodd Stadium (4 pm ET; Facebook | UniMas in the US | MLS LIVE in Canada).
