Aranguiz called into Chile U-23 squad, adding to FC Dallas midfield woes

Pablo Aranguiz - FC Dallas - Runs

FC Dallas midfielder Pablo Aranguiz has been called into Chile's U-23 side for the Toulon Tournament, which runs June 1-15.

Aranguiz, 22, has made 11 appearances (seven starts) this season for Dallas, but has yet to register a goal or assist in 20 total matches since being acquired last season. He is highly rated, voted No. 18 on MLSsoccer.com's 22 Under 22 ranking last year.

Dallas, already without Paxton PomykalBrandon Servania and Edwin Cerillo at the U-20 World Cup, will be down some players for a few weeks. Bryan Acosta (Honduras) and Reggie Cannon (United States) were included on their nations' preliminary Concacaf Gold Cup squads, while Carlos Gruezo is on Ecuador's Copa America squad.

The Toulon Tournament is a prestigious, invite-only event that is viewed as the top friendly tournament for the age group. Twelve teams were invited, including the likes of France, England, Mexico and Brazil.
