American Exports: Tim Ream powerless to stop heavy defeat for skidding Bolton Wanderers

Tim Ream with Bolton

AMSTERDAM – The autumn of Championship discontent continued for Tim Ream's Bolton on Wednesday night, falling 4-0 away to fellow early-season strugglers Fulham.

While Emerson Hyndman went unused by the Cottagers, Ream moved in to defensive midfield for Wanderers. Despite a decent performance from the American, errors at the back and wastefulness in front of goal saw Bolton steamrolled for their third straight loss. Bolton dropped to next-to-last, while Fulham's second straight win leapfrogged them into 22nd place.

Meanwhile, in Champions League Group D action, Sacha Kljestan watched from the home dugout as Anderlecht suffered a 3-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund. The Mauves stand bottom with a point through two rounds, while BvB are already three points clear at the top.
