American Exports: Fabian Johnson starts as Monchengladbach pulls off stunner at Bayern Munich

AMSTERDAM – Fabian Johnson and Borussia Mönchengladbach pulled off an away shocker on Sunday evening, knocking off Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich 2-0 at Allianz Arena.

The US international went the distance on left wing as the Foals posted their second clean sheet of the season against Bayern, who came into the game with six straight league wins. Johnson completed 18 of 23 passes without having much impact in the final third.

The result extended third place 'Gladbach's unbeaten league run to six games and gave them an eight point cushion in the race for Champions League invites.

Over in the English Premier League, Tim Howard and Everton got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory at Queens Park Rangers.

The Toffees star was only required to claim three crosses to backstop the visitors to their first season sweep over QPR in 46 years. Thanks to five Everton shot blocks and a pair of stops by his woodwork, Howard did not need to make a single save to bounce back for the quick victory after Thursday's disappointing Europa League ouster.

With consecutive EPL wins for the first time since October, Everton jumped to 13th place in the EPL, nine points clear of the relegation mire.
