La Barra Real

Habitat: Behind the south goal, in Section 8, and also mixed in with the RioT Brigade in Section 10.

Visual Identification: There are a significant number of drums and trumpets among the Barra.

Defining Characteristics: Founded in 2009, La Barra Real is a Latino-identifying supporters' group that brings music, energy, and lots of jumping to Rio Tinto Stadium.

Songs and Calls: “La Barra Real Hasta El Final” ("La Barra Real is with you to the end.")

RioT Brigade

Habitat: The Brigade occupies Section 10, right behind the south goal.

Visual Identification: The group gravitates toward the familiar claret-and-cobalt RSL jerseys.

Defining Characteristics: RioT Brigade is a unity-minded supporters' group with a populist mindset, extending a welcome to all RSL supporters wanting a fun experience.

Songs and Calls: In line with their philosophy, they gravitate toward simple, easy-to-remember chants, making them the SG most likely to break out with “I Believe.”

Rogue Cavaliers Brigade

Habitat: Section 9, as part of the convention of supporters groups in the south goal area

Visual Identification: The RCB also has a drum corps, and like the other supporters' groups, is clad in claret and cobalt.

Defining Characteristics: Active since 2005, with a tailgating tradition that goes back to Rice-Eccles Stadium, the RCB is the original RSL supporters' group.

Songs and Calls: As European-inspired fans, they have a number of PG-13-level chants. The milder “RCB Anthem” rhymes “I am a Cavalier, I have been all my life” with “I’ve stood behind Salt Lake through victory and strife.”

Royal Army

Habitat: They’re also part of the party in Section 10, and dispersed throughout the stadium.

Visual Characteristics: In addition to the default claret and cobalt, they’ve created a black-and-gray option specifically for their members.

Defining Characteristics: They cite their openness first and foremost, and also have taken “Salt Lake 'Til I Die” as their motto.

Songs and Calls: Not surprisingly, “Salt Lake 'Til I Die"

Section 26

Habitat: Section 26 is the team's only recognized supporters' group not in the south goal. They help bring the same passion and energy of those groups in the south to those in the north end of the stadium.

Visual Identification: The group gravitates toward the familiar claret-and-cobalt RSL jerseys. They also lead the team's "R-S-L" chants at the 30th and 60th minute of the match.

Defining Characteristics: Active since 2008, with a tailgating tradition that involves both a chili cook-off and a homebrew

Songs and Calls: "Rally together, gather around! The scent of a battle is near. The whistle sounds, a new game begins. Fear nothing now, the gang's all here!"

Salt City United

Habitat: Section 9, as part of the convention of supporters' groups in the south goal area

Visual Identification: Also known as SCU, this group is known for wearing all-black clothing and waving black flags.

Defining Characteristics: “Est. 2009. WRECK EVERYTHING!!”

Songs and Calls: As European-inspired fans, they have a number of PG-13-level chants. The milder chants include “I am a Cavalier" and “Salt Lake Till I Die”
