Chivas USA falls 1-0 to Osasuna

Chivas USA played their final preseason game against Club Atlético Osasuna ahead of their April 2 debut in Major League Soccer. The Spanish First Division side emerged victorious from the inaugural edition of the 'Copa Fundación Chivas de Corazón', a header by Valdo on 70 minutes earning the visitors a 1-0 win.


Chivas USA played for the first time in their official jersey for the 2005 season, in front of crowd of 10,596 at The Home Depot Center, the team's home in the 2005 MLS season, where it opens MLS play on April 2 against defending MLS Cup champions D.C. United in a showdown that will be broadcast live on ABC.


Saturday night's only goal was scored by Valdo, with a header that surprised goalkeeper Brad Guzan from the right side.
