MLS Disciplinary Committee fines Vancouver's Cristian Techera
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined one player following Week 27 of the 2018 MLS regular season. Techera hands to face/head/neck
Out of contract following 2018 season.
Techera is a technical, speedy winger capable of both scoring andsetting up his teammates. The Uruguayan makes up for his small frame with speed and an ability to withstand physical play from opposing defenders. He's put up 15 goals and 14 assists in 80 appearances (60 starts) over his first three MLS seasons.
OUTSIDE MLS: Began his career at River Plate Montevideo in his native Uruguay in April 2010 at age 17. Featured in the Copa Sudamericana with that club, and won the 2015 Amway Canadian Championship with Vancouver.
NOTES: Was a member of Uruguayan powerhouse Peñarol's academy.
