HOW ACQUIRED: Selected in Stage Two of 2016 Re-Entry Draft in December 2016 and officially signed a one-year contract with an option for 2018 on January 10, 2017.

An MLS veteran goalkeeper, Dykstra serves as backup to starter Tim Melia in Kansas City after serving as Bill Hamid's primary backup from 2012-2016 at D.C. United. He had a brief stint as a starter for the Chicago Fire during the 2010 season.

OUTSIDE MLS: Played for the Charleston Battery in 2011 and has spent some time in the lower leagues while on loan from D.C. United. During his college years he played for PDL side Richmond Kickers Future.

COLLEGE: Dykstra played in 73 matches over four seasons, totaling more than 6,500 minutes with Virginia Commonwealth University.
