1. WHAT’S NEXT FOR DROGBA?

Will Didier Drogba be back with the Montreal Impact in 2016? Chelsea have made it clear they want their former player to return to Stamford Bridge, which puts the Impact in a tough position. Montreal say they’re willing to accommodate their superstar to some extent, but they want him back for 2016.


2. ASHLEY COLE LINKED TO MLS: THIS TIME IT'S SERIOUS

The annual Ashley Cole-to-MLS rumors are back, but it appears there’s a little more to it than usual, with multiple sources claiming that the LA Galaxy are in talks with the former England International left back. Well, there are certainly beaches in California


3. NO MORE ROSE IN SEATTLE

Andy Rose’s training spell with Coventry City must have gone well, as the out-of-contract Seattle Sounders midfielder signed an 18-month deal with the English League One side.


4. GIL MOVES TO MEXICO

After six seasons with Real Salt Lake, Luis Gil is moving on to something new. On Tuesday, the US youth international joined Liga MX side Queretaro on a free transfer, but made sure to say thank you to one former head coach in particular.


5. VELA ARRIVAL NOT IMMINENT

Is Carlos Vela still interested in a move to MLS? If he is, it doesn’t look like we’ll see the Mexican international until at least next summer, with Real Sociedad said to be unwilling to sell before the end of their season.


6.  RED BULLS ADD EVEN MORE HOMEGROWNS

The New York Red Bulls already had a league leading number of Homegrown players, a total they’ve now increased to 11 after signing three more players to deals on Wednesday.


7. DYNAMO ADD A TULSA STANDOUT

The Houston Dynamo also added a new Homegrown Player to their roster, signing Bradley Bourgeois, a defender from Tulsa University, to his first professional contract.


8. EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN…

There’s bad news for D.C. United fans, as it seems that talks with midfielder Perry Kitchen have failed to reach a positive conclusion, with a source claiming that “both parties have moved on.”


9.  THE LATEST RUMORS

There will of course be plenty of new arrivals in MLS this winter. Two of the latest rumors suggest that Mexican international Alan Pulido is receiving offers from MLS and also that the Seattle Sounders are pursuing Ecuadorian winger Marco Posligua.


10. MORE CHANGES IN ORLANDO

Orlando City's coaching staff continues to change, with assistant coach Marcos Machada headed to the NWSL’s Orlando Pride, replaced by former-Toronto FC man Stewart Kerr.

It didn’t take Frank Yallop long to find a new job, as the former Chicago Fire boss was named the new head coach of the USL’s Arizona United SC. Could another member of last season’s Chicago Fire also be on the move? David Accam has apparently turned heads at English side Stoke City.

The US U-17s have a new head coach, with former Philadelphia Union boss John Hackworth taking over from Richie Williams, who will become an assistant coach with Real Salt Lake. It also seems that the newly formed US U-19 program have found their first leader: former US international Brad Friedel.


13. WHY THE AMERICAN INFLUX IN GERMANY?

There are an increasing number of American players plying their trade in Germany, and that’s no accident, as the Bundesliga looks to make strides on a global scale in a situation of mutual benefit to American exports.

Former Colorado Rapids star and US youth international Shane O’Neill may be on the hunt for a new club, returning to Cyprus after departing Belgian side Royal Mouscron-Peruwelz without playing a single game.
