Dominic Oduro is on the move again, after the Montreal Impact announced Tuesday that they had acquired the forward from Toronto FC in exchange for allocation more. As per MLS and club policy, details of the trade were not disclosed.
The 29-year-old Oduro, known for his lightning speed and eye-catching hairstyles, has recorded 48 goals and 26 assists in a total of 252 regular-season games, including 156 starts. The Impact are his seventh MLS team – he has also played for FC Dallas, the New York Red Bulls, Houston Dynamo, Chicago Fire and Columbus Crew.
"This move allows us to add quality depth to our striker position, as we identified in our plan," explained technical director Adam Braz in a statement. "Dominic is an experienced player who has scored in our league and adds a different profile to our attacking options."

The deal for the once-capped Ghanaian international is the second on a busy day for the Impact, who also added midfielder Eric Alexander and left back Ambroise Oyongo from the New York Red Bulls in exchange for midfielder Felipe Martins and the top spot in the MLS Allocation Order. It also allows some flexibility for the Reds, who continue to re-shape their squad ahead of a much-anticipated 2015 campaign.
“This deal provided an opportunity to acquire financial assets that will allow us to continue to strengthen our squad,” said Toronto FC General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko in a statement. “We’d like to thank Dom for his contributions to our club and wish him all the best.”
