A huge match for clubs chasing down playoff positions is ahead when Orlando City SC play host to Seattle Sounders FC on Sunday evening before an FS1 audience. City made Jason Kreis a winner in his first game in charge last Sunday with a 3-1 victory against the New England Revolution at Camping World Stadium, leaving the clubs tied for sixth place and the final playoff place in the Eastern Conference. Sounders FC reached a 1-1 draw with the LA Galaxy in the first game with Brian Schmetzer in charge as head coach, now nine points below the red line in ninth place in the West.


  • Kevin Molino scored two goals in a game for the first time in his MLS career, also adding an assist in Orlando City’s 3-1 win against the New England Revolution on Sunday evening at Camping World Stadium. The victory snapped a five-game winless run; Molino has three goals and three assists in his last three games.
  • The win was also the first in charge for new Orlando City head coach Jason Kreis, the 101st of his MLS career as a head coach.
  • In the first match with Brian Schmetzer in charge as head coach, Sounders FC reached a 1-1 draw with the LA Galaxy at CenturyLink Field. Cristian Roldan scored the lone Seattle goal, his second goal of the season, both coming over the last four games.
  • The teams met once during Orlando City’s inaugural MLS campaign. Sounders FC took a 4-0 victory Aug. 16 at CenturyLink Field.
