A massive match in the Eastern Conference between playoff hopefuls kicks off when Toronto FC entertain the New England Revolution on Saturday evening at BMO Field. TFC conclude their four-game homestand having won each of the first three matches, the last two by shutout, following their 1-0 win against Real Salt Lake on Wednesday that moved them into second place in the Eastern Conference. The Revolution continue their road swing, their three-game undefeated run coming to an end last weekend in a 3-1 loss at Orlando City SC, leaving them tied for sixth place in the final playoff position in the conference.

  • The Revolution saw their undefeated run snapped at three games, Kei Kamara scoring his fourth goal since his arrival at the club (his ninth overall this season) in a 3-1 defeat at Orlando City SC on Sunday evening.

  • The Revolution took the lead after 14 minutes, when Kelyn Rowe headed home after Je-Vaughn Watson sent in a beautiful cross from the right wing.
  • Toronto FC hit for the equalizer in the 58th minute. After a long ball over the top from Will Johnson, Jozy Altidore found Sebastian Giovinco in space outside of the box and he was able to find the back of the net after a deflection.
